Coffee Matter and Mothers kitchen has a goal, to make connections between people. It is the daily interaction between people that makes sharing a cup of coffee and “real good food” special. Community has taught us how important those connections are and how they can be made over a simple action such as a cup of coffee. It fills us with joy to be able to share with you our project.
Having a strong belief that we have not inherited the earth but have borrowed it from our children plays a critical part in our business and daily life. Our close proximity to nature, here in our little corner of the world, it is not hard to witness the importance of balance in our daily rhythms.

Coffee Matter and Mothers Kitchen share space at the corner of the Gilbert Farm Road and Route 102 Bar Harbor, Maine.
Coffee Matter has a commitment to work with roasters that opt for organic and ethically sourced coffee. While they are growing a relationship with the farmers and co-ops, who are invested in the effort of growing organic specialty coffee. The quality of this relationship is what you can taste in your cup of coffee.
